 Usining Params in SQL View

I have read Alex's post on gotocode but can't get it work.

I have a query that is date dependent
On the grid page is a control that diplays todays date {s_today}

The query works if I hard code the date can anyone enlighten me as to what I
may be missing

Win2k Server
Oracle
PHP
