The news posts on this server are being cleaned up too often. This is
shamefull for such a lightly accessed news channel. Does anyone know where
archives are?

I have messages going back to 4/2002.. just told my newsreader to download
all headers...

Are some being deleted from those?

Yep.
I am sure I have seen some answers to my problems here, but alas they
dissapeared under admin's swift sword swing.

It looks more like they've switched servers or rebuilt the message list - at
any rate, the message IDs are out of whack. I had to reset my message
history to see history, and that only goes back to the 4th. Over the
weekend, the LATEST message I could see was the 4th. And my posts never
showed up.

I now see things going back to Feb 4, while this weekend the newest ones
were Mar 4.
