Beta 4 is Soooooooooooooo buggy!
God damn CCS crashes every ten minutes. And in various places. And reboots
don't help.
How do I find and analyse the log file created after crash?

BTW, does yes disable serial number if CSS is activated from two different
hosts? I want to see if the same crap is going to pop-up on a freshly
re-osed Windovze. And I cant really blame Windovze cause it's patched
up-to-date.

Calm down David. My motto for beta testing ANYTHING is "save early and
often". I'm working a couple IDE crashes with their support at the moment.
I hope you are passing your info along to them too. They need our help just
as we need theirs. I know where my crashes are and I make sure to save
before I go there. You are correct, though, that this iteration seems much
more buggy than Yes' past releases.
You probaly will find a log in the windows/winnt or system32 folder. Crash
dumps are typically not very helpful in my experience. What you did just
prior to the crash seems much more enlightening when I'm in the position of
making the fix.
You are allowed two installs (portable and desktop). You can "re-up" once
every 30 days or so, making it possible to reregister as you upgrade or
replace OS/hardware/etc. If you have a problem more frequently, they are
normally happy to help you reregister if you email them (nicely). I just
did that yesterday.

DonB; If Yes was serious they would put a trap into the code to at least
give us SOME sort of message before CCS disappears. As far as 'working with
beta' this product has been "beta code" since it was released, items like
date objects, child forms, multi-select lists are common in other dev tools
yet we can't even get tables to work without having the GUI disappear.
I replace my mother board and memory before the support people admitted
there was a code problem, when I tried to install the software on another
machine I was treated like a thief.

Since version 1 of CC.

DonB,
I've searched in the locations you point out, but the only log I see id
drwatson.log which is apparently empty at this time. To the best of your
knowlege, is there a Windovz configuration option that turns crash logging
off/on?
