I am attempting to use the "File Upload" component, so far without success.
All I receive is the following error:
"An error occured when uploading file specified in FileUpload1. Error
description: Microsoft VBScript runtime error, Permission denied"
It doesent matter which upload component I use (ive tried pure ASP and
Dundas) or what directory I specify in my upload, all permissions have been
checked.
Any Ideas?

Tim - Ive just struck this exact problem. I had the upload working perfect
and then as a result of some unwelcome attention to my web server I decided
to run the IIS lockdown tool that broke the upload process.
Im still researching it but it seems that in my case the IIS lockdown
utility was the point of breakage - If I find the answer I will post it
here.

Jim,
I enabled file auditing (W2K) and I now have a red face. I had checked the
permissions on the directories in question (c:\temp for temp & c:\Uploads
for uploads) I had checked that they both had READ\WRITE permissions but had
over looked DELETE in the temp directory. Changed both to allow
READ\WRITE\DELETE and its fixed for me.
