Getting field contents to display as Alt Text of an image?

Just wondered if anyone had worked out the trick to be able to do this. I
have a field which isn't displayed in the actual grid, but is part of the
results of the query.

Is there any way that I can have the contents of the field displayed as the
alt text of a static image so that although the image stays the same on each
row of the results, the alt text changes on a per record basis.

Thanks.

Sort of found a workaround for this.

If you create a hidden field in one of the columns, this causes the instance
of the field to exist in the grid, and you can then apply the field name to
the alt text in the graphic. It's best to edit the html so that the hidden
field has a value of "", otherwise you're making the page excessively large
for no reason. The control doesn't get deleted on sync because there is
still an instance of the field name in "input name", so this does work.
