I am running 2.0.5.6 under win 2000 professional and do not have these
problems.I am very pleased with the product. I would recommend contacting
codecharge report. What OS are you using? Which language are you developing
in (ASP, PHP, JSP,etc)? They are very good about following up on problems.

Hi Matjaz,

I found the same. Ever so often I get error messages and illegal actions.
Sometimes CCS shuts down because of it, sometimes msgsrv32.exe shuts down.
Annoying, but it is still workable.

best regards,

Peter

Hello all,

I'm running WinXP SP1 on a Dell Precision 340 with a 1,7 cpu 512 RDRAM and a
10000rpm SCSI hardrive. Probably too much details but who knows. I'd say
it's a standard system which never crashes. CCS 2.0.5.6 has been crashing
quite a lot the last few days.

It crashes a lot more on my Laptop with Windows 2000 Professional SP3.

There seems to be an issue in the Properties inspector under Format tab very
often the Data tab is displayed but not active and not useable and when you
click on the [...] three dots in front of Data Source the application
crashes. Again this seems to occur when the Format tab is in its up state
but the content of the Data tab is displayed.

Another bug I had from previous version is the Undo button does not work.

Don't get me wrong even with 15 to 20 crashes per day the application is
well worth the money. Can't have it all. On a 18 hours days work its about
one crash per hour. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have 2 CCS running
silmutaneously.

I trust the Yes developpers whom I want to say thank you for developping
such a powerful application. You guys truly are amazing programmers.

Thank you,

Cordially,

JFR

I've been getting "Unhandled exception " from CCS since it was first
released:
The thread 'Win32 Thread' (0x9cc) has exited with code 0 (0x0). Unhandled
exception at 0x018604d6 in CCS.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading
location 0x00000004.

The latest verison has included a new trick where the keyboard stops working
and then about 15 seconds later CCS dissappears (along with my work).

I have ask that YesSoftware include some error trapping logic in their
product so we sould at least have an error code to work with but that has
not happened.

I use CCS less and less as time goes on, to keep losing work and not get any
results from complaints makes one look for a different means to get to the
end results.

I am having problems on my Win98 system. I'm using ASP against an Access
database. (I've also tried Oracle) I can't select any builder or control
from a toolbar without an illegal operation. I can use the app builder with
no problems however. I have submitted this to support but so far no answer.
It has something specific to this machine as I have it installed on another
machine without this problem. I reinstalled MDAC but that didn't help. I'm
looking for any suggestions. I imagine my trail of studio is going to expire
before I can get it working. Has anyone had similar problems?

This is the error I get.:
CCS caused an invalid page fault in
module CCVIEWS.DLL at 017f:04839fb6.

FYI - I upgraded to IE 6 and this problem went away. Just curious, anyone
else successfully using IE 5 with CodeChargeStudio?

I've further investigate the problem and first select/click
property(ControlSource) and NOT property value as I did when CCS crashed and
then property value, and there was no CCS crash - everything worked as
supposed too.
But the funniest thing is, that from then on I can not repeat crash.
Now I can continue to work with this exceptional product like CCS is.
Thank You all for Your postings,

Matjaz Zalar

CCS 1.0
bug event list appears and disappears random, provided solution does
not work. Further menu options disappear from the screen. HTML gui
messes up the code. Regular copy and paste of code, causes ccs to crash.

CCS 2.0.5.6
Cannot recall it, but it also was a not workable situation.

CCS 2.1
Fields do not show up.

I was unclear - what I mean is that some Windows Updates to IE have caused
some problems recently. If you have run Windows update recently there is a
chance that you need to install a fix. Not sure where to find one - but I'll
look around if you need the help.
