Using Active Server Pages with a Microsoft SQL Server backend. I am getting
the following error. I have searched all over but can't find how to stop
this error.
"The conversion of char data type to smalldatetime data type resulted in an
out-of-range smalldatetime value. (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC
Drivers)".
It was first brought to my attention by someone in the UK where the dates
are displayed at dd/mm/yyyy hh:ss instead of mm/dd/yyyy hh:ss - this might
be part of the problem, but I have played around with my own date and
regional settings so much I am not sure what the problem is anymore.
Any hints would be much appreciated...

It is best to have one international settings and not to have date format
set up in SQL or CCS to much so delete all the formats and start again. It
worked for me.
