error generating common files - ASP.NET VB..help!

I keep getting the following error when generating a project - new and
existing:

Generating Common Files

Error:Compiled file error

Source: Language "0.1", Template name: General

Description: Microsoft JScript runtime error

Object required

line = 418, col = 2 (line is offset from the start of the script block).

Error returned from property or method call.
