I am using XP home edition and I am wantnig to start using CCS.
Where can I find the Personal Web Server that used to mcome with
Frontpage so that I can test out my pages? I have Frontpage 2002
installed & it works (& has worked for over 1 year) fine on my XP
system. I just need some type of server it appears to be able to
test my CCS pages.

Thanks for any help on this.

Microsoft didn't develop PWS for WinXP Home (only for the profesional
version), instead you can use IBM Websphere or the others CCS support...

or.... muve to WinXP Pro... ;-/

http://www.asp.net/webmatrix

It has been suggested that the "light" webserver that webmatrix includes can
be used. I have not tried this as I do not use XP.

But, it's free to try anyway.

If you are interested in an easy to setup MySql, Php, Apache environment
e.g. database, programming language, webserver.
I suggest the following link: http://www.firepages.com.au/

It doesn't appear that this server can handle ASP pages, is that
correct? I need something that can render ASP also.

Thanks

That's indeed correct. But there are some third parties whoem offer
software to run ASP on Apache (even on Linux I think). But if your
primary interest is ASP, perhaps it's wiser to install IIS.
But then it is more expensive.

Good luck.

Roy
