I have a problem with CCS 2.1 The software is failing to complete the sql
statement for the login script (look for CCLogin in the Code page) This has
resulted in an inability to log-in, an error which has occured since
upgrading.

Although Tech Support is looking in to this for me I was wondering if anyone
has experienced this problem and perhaps has a cure?

I have unistalled and reinstalled with out success.

Do you have a problem with the handling of apostropes or quotes, so that the
SQL fails to execute correctly? he wording of your description left me
uncertain what the true problem is.

You could temporarily put a statement in to display the value of SQL before
it gets executed, to see what is actually there. If by "incomplete" you
mean the SELECT statement omits the column or table names from the actual
code, then that's due to the security settings not being configured so that
CCS cannot build the ine of code containing the SELECT.

Hi DonB

It appears to be a bug which is being investigated by the CC engineers
following correspondence. The software was (I use 'was' because I have
solved the problem for now) not creating the sql statement. On screen this
was the message:

Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT FROM users WHERE ='username' AND
='userpass'
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'FROM users
WHERE ='username' AND ='userpass'' at line 1)
Session halted.

Username and userpass removed for security in this translation to you.

The Common.php did not create the sql statement. I 'cured' the problem by
re-setting the security settings switching from local to remote, making sure
they were in place before clicking the 'ok' button(s) rather than taking it
for granted that everything was in place. Then delete the Common.php file
and all is well for the time being.

To cut a long story short, there appears to be a bug!

Long winded answer but it is a bit complicated to explain but not as
complicated as explaining to my client why the login page was down for four
days whilst in correspondence with the CC team.
