Hello Everyone,

Have been evaluating/playing around with CSS during the last weeks. Have to
decide whether to go ahead and buy the product. Any comments from users will
help make up my mind.

I'm new at web development so please excuse me if my observations are not
correct.

1. CSS use OLE DB connection to access SQL Server instead of native SQL
access. Is this a plus or minus for CSS.

2. CSS is a 2 thier code generator

3. There are other code generators in the market such as COMPILEX, IRON
SPEED etc.
Any (technical) advantages of using CSS those other than price.

4. New enhancements for future versions.

Thanks for your opinion. My one man consulting consulting office depends on
making the right decision. Cannot afford to go the wrong route.

Regards
Framirez

Did you find any courses on CCS development for beginners?

I was new at web development too when I purchased CC more than 2 years
ago. Using CC, I easily developed many web applications and learnt a
lot abt web development in the process. Now I have upgraded to CCS and
I can do much more with it. I have not regretted this investment!

Rgds,
Karen

Hi Karen,

I've gone straight in with CCS .... is that a mistake? Should I try learning/using CC first?

My main problem has been that CCS just has not worked correctly - even with the CCS supplied
tutorial. I can't very well learn the product if even the tutorial can't be completed!

I think it's ok to start off with CCS becoz it is quite different from
CC. It would help a lot if you are using their support system. That
was how I managed to get things done in the early days.

Which tutorial are you referring to? I'm not sure if I can help since
I'm no expert either. Anyway, I use PHP/MySQL and if you use that too,
I can see if I have any ideas for you.

Rgds,
Karen

Oh ok, I've done that one quite some time ago. Which part is causing
trouble? I'll try to refresh my memory and see.

It's not a problem with the tutorial (yet) but more if there were other training courses -
classroom, interactive online/CD, or video etc..
