Hi,
I am setting up a workstation with code charge, but I canīt make
windows2000 professional IIS 5.0 run PHP, I already tried all the how-toīs
that I found, but I keep reciveing a 404 page not found. I know that is not
a Code Charge problem, but I was wondering if you guys could help me with
that.

Thank You

PHP needs to be installed as an application. PHP must be associated with the
executable. Check your settings in the PROPERTIES of the website in the IIS
configs.

Did you install PHP as a CGI or did you try to do the ISAPI install? (ISAPI
is a bit more complicated, the CGI is an easy install and for low volume it
should be good. Besides, you are using Win2kPRO which only does 10 web
sessions at once anyway. It is not a production level web server.)

I tried Both.... I installed PHP4.3.4 and tried to associate with php.exe on
properties, and also as an ISAPI. I was wondering with some one has a check
list for me to check this.

This is not a production server, my production server is a linux box. I just
want php support on IIS for testing reasons

Thank You

Check the IIS control panel. Click the button for "Configuration" on the
Home Directory tab (either at the site or at the virtual directory level
depending on how broadly you want PHP configured).

You probably don't see ".PHP" listed as an "Application Mapping". Click
"Add" and enter it (note the leading "dot" is needed). Enter the path to
PHP.EXE and this configures IIS for ISAPI. If you want CGI, then specify
php4ts.dll instead of PHP.EXE.

You probably will want to add "index.php" to the list of default documents,
too, but this is not required.

I think that was all I had trouble with. All in all, setting up PHP was
very easy - cudos to the people who put the kit together.

You will likely want to download the large (full) zip file from the PHP
homepage - it contains all the misc extensions like php_mssql.dll that you
might want to add. These are not in the basic zip download.

Make sure your antivirus has "script blocking" turned off.
