I'm using CodeCharge on Windows 98 and using Access 97 Database, and am
creating ASP pages. Iam running the generated pages on a local machine
using PWS.

I built a very simple form and generated it. The form looks great, I am
able pull up my existing data with no problem. When I edit a record
(example: I changed the street address) and click the update button I get no
errors and it appears that the change is made. However when I call the
record back up and view the street address it shows the old address. When I
look at the raw data the old address is still there.

When I add a new record and click on the insert button, again, I get no
errors and it would appear that the record had been added. However when I
look at the data table I find that no record has been added.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Roger

Make sure the read-only attribute is not set on the Access file.

Appreciate your input Alexey. I've solved the problem.

For anyone else that runs into this I found that this was an ODBC/Access
problem. What I had done was to setup my relationships in Access. ODBC
will not let you edit or delete records that are relationally tied together.

So I created a new database and imported the tables without the
relationships and gave it the same name as the original database and it is
working fine now.

Thanks again Alexey I appreciate your help.
