Fatal error: DB_Sql is already a function or class in ./db_mysql.inc on line
12

Why do I get this? more importantly, how do I fix it? ANy help
much appreciated.

THis means that your host already has PHPLib installed. Therefore, what you need to do is
create an htaccess file which turns OFF the prepend function for PHP AND turns off the include
path. If you look in the archives, I posted this htaccess file a couple of weeks ago.

Note to CodeCharge folks. You guys might want to make this an FAQ item. :) Seems it comes up
a lot. :)

I created a .htaccess file consiting of the line

php_value auto_prepend_file none

and now all I get is a 500 internal sever error. what am i doing wrong?

Hmm.. sounds like your host has decided that you're not allowed to override those functions or
you typed it in wrong... but that is the correct syntax... the file is called .htaccess yes?
And I'm assuming that your host is running Apache as the webserver. If not, then all bets are
off.
