I try to run codecharge with vmware and is unusable.

So slow; it takes two minutes to display the splash screen and another
five minutes to display the main window.

The cpu on the guest os goes 100%.

I tried with win98,winme and win2000 guest os, but the result is nearly
the same (3 minutes win98, 5 minutes winme, 7 minutes win2000 to start)
.

I tried with 128M and 192M ram.

In my experience is the only prg that behaves like that.

Any hint?

Bye!

Sorry for my bad english.

Same thing happens here (experiment)... I usually only use VMWare for
development (server). Try Win4Lin (http://www.netraverse.com).

Thanks for your reply, now at least i know it is not a problem related to my
particular configuration.

I checked system requirements

Intel Pentium Processor or equivalent
64 MB available RAM
20 MB available disk space
256-color monitor capable of 800 x 600 resolution
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4 or 2000
Database application (MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.)
MS Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher

Everything is there.

I will wait a reply from support. Their web server is linux so maybe they
have some linux machine around to test it.

Win4Lin doesn't support kernel 2.4 yet so i'm stuck with vmware.

Bye!

Yeah, the sysreq is there for me too:

vm - win2k pro with 256M allotted running on a 2xPIII550Xeon with 512M, so
yeah, I don't see like it would do that in my vm...

Roughly about 2 more weeks or so: Win4Lin3.0. Full support for 2.4, and a
few extra goodies!!
