Whether I have the passive mode ftp option checked or not, the publisher
still tries to go into passive mode, and so it won't connect. I've tried
saving, switching back and forth, and restarting the program, but nothing
works.

I'm having the same problem Todd is! No matter what I do, the publisher is
stuck in passive FTP which tends to cause communications failure...

P.S. I'm going to start a trouble ticket in the support system...

An intermediate version 1.18 has been released which resolves the problem
quite nicely... I downloaded it last night and checked it out, it does in
fact resolve the problem...
