Since this program is all about online databases, which can be used to make
online stores, is there a way that's built in or a module or something that
can produce code to verify and charge credit cards, if I had a merchant
account?

We just posted a Beta version of a new tutorial explaining such
implementation, at
It explains how to integrate the Online Bookstore with Online Credit Card
Purchasing System from VeriSign, PayFlow Link.
We use PayFlow Link ourselves for CodeCharge sales.
