We'd like to notify newsgroup participants about the following:
- We have replaced the tutorial "CodeCharge Tutorial" with more accurate
version:
"A Fast Track Introduction to CodeCharge - Creating BugTrack Project"
- We have updated the tutorial "Integration of Online Bookstore with PayFlow
Link Online Credit Card Purchasing System from VeriSign"
- Soon, we will be posting a detailed, 100-page tutorial about creating
"Events" project, with details on such features as email notifications,,
date-range search, administration, etc. We will also provide more detail on
such subjects as web server installation and the database connectivity.

The tutorials are available at http://support.codecharge.com/tutorials.asp

Hi,
CodeCharge is a terrific program and I really enjoy working with it. I
would recommend it to anyone who wants to create a data driven web site. It
is money well spent. The ease of connecting to a database is next to none. I
have even connected to our AS/400 through ODBC. The only pitfall so far was
the documentation. I'm glad to see you are making progress on updating it to
help learn the program. It has a lot of powerful features that need a little
more clarification, especially for beginners like myself.
It would be very helpful if you can create a detailed explanation in the
use of the different form properties boxes. Can you elaborate about the
different "Forms", e.g. Grids, Records, etc., along with an explanation of
each of the "Events" that can be triggered from within each form and what
they are used for.
Also in the "Fields" properties boxes, by checking the "Required" and/or
"Unique" boxes, what is there purpose? When and why does the "required" box
need to be checked in the input on the Forms Properties box?
These are some of the questions that possibly can be answered in a small
technical manual to give more detail and an example or two of what each
"Event", in all aspects of the program, can be used for, including the
Modules and Page Properties
sections.

Regards
Jim Ryan
