Anyone...

CC Forum Example: ASP and Templates.
Page "Reply", form "Reply"
Form Properties - Allow Validation checked.
Insert allowed, Cancel allowed.
In Field properties, for Topic, Author and Message the "Required" checkbox
is checked.
Only event used is Before Show Insert "flddate_entered=now()"
OK..the problem...

When responding to a message with the 'Reply" button,
submitting an EMPTY record fires the validations BUT at the bottom
of ALL records refreshed from the table, not just the current record.
The page goes awry, listing ALL records and placing the Reply form at the
bottom.

What and where to encourage a proper behaviour for an EMPTY reply
submission?

TIA
kmc

Keith,
on Reply page/reply form add a field (don't select any table field for it),
set its type to Hidden, go to Field/Properties, there set its name to "mid",
Default Value to "=GetParam("mid")".
Then when you submit reply with empty fields you'll get warning message and
only the message you should reply to (not all messages from table).
