 SQL String Field Limit

Is there a limit on the number of characters that can be entered on the Use
SQL string field in the SQL tab of the Form Properties window? I have
already quite a long SQL statement there and when I added more functionality
and press OK I get the following message:
The connection to database is broken. Do you want to try reconnecting to
it?

I get two buttons from this dialog: Yes and No. Pressing either one would
cause the fields in the Fields list to invalid (they are in red letters) and
Table field in the forms section is disabled. And I don't have any fields
to choose from anymore from the Show Fields button.

Please tell me why I get this behaviour. Btw, I connect to an Oracle
database using OLE DB.

Thanks,
Dante S.
