Hi All,

I decided to purchase Codecharge on what it currently has been able to do
and the comments made on support.
I did have reservations on some features lacking that other editors allow.
I am hoping that the next release will have lots of new features that will
place it next to design tools like netobjects or dreamweaver.

Tell me I made the right decision? I basically told my boss this was the way
to go.

Thanks

Frank,

CodeCharge is an awesome tool for putting a site together once you get
the hang of where the events go. At this stage of development, CC
isn't meant to be a one-stop source for application development. It
is mostly (in my opinion) a tool to take the place of the most complex
tasks. I use it for all of my db insert/update/select/delete actions
in my apps. Most of my straight ASP stuff I code by hand. I use
FrontPage2000 to work on my UI and hand coding. The first thing I did
when I got the software was run every example to see how the CC team
put them together. You can learn a lot from them.

You definitely made the right decision, but you may need to add a
couple of things to your arsenal. If you haven't already, get a good
ASP reference book and get familiar with the code. Download some apps
and read some articles to see how others are putting their code
together. You can find free apps at ASPIN.com and great articles and
tutorials at www.15seconds.com, www.activeserverpages.com,
www.asp101.com, etc. ActiveServerPages.com has an FAQ section that's
as good as any book if you want to save a few $$. I am in no way a
pro, but I am a pro "hack". I have taught myself quite a bit by
following the advice I am giving you.

I hope some of this advice helps.

Best of luck.

Anthony

For the price, how could you make the wrong decision?

CodeCharge is a great tool... It doesn't do it all, but what does?
