I have a set of asp files in a subdirectory working fine there.
A main level when I include a file from that subdirectory I receive an
error message saying that common.asp cannot find the database.(subdirectory
is missing in the database path)
any idea ?

Jean-Luc,
CC can establish one connection to db using the path to db specified on
Site/Database tab. It can't be changed dinamicaly. You can be advised to
store all files in one folder or establish connection byyourself in one of
the events.

Thx
I got it working by using a dns connection
now i have another problem :
Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement. (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC
Drivers)
Any idea ?

Is one of your tables or fields named as a reserved word like "date" or
"password" ?

Yes this was the trick : do not use visual basic reserved word lide date
