Hi,

This is my first time here, I would like to know of any chance to
convert Visual FoxPro application into web-enable application directly,
without client server system such as MS SQL or others, using Code-Charge
?

We are looking for product that able to enable our application to run on
internet.

Any advise would be appreciated.

There is really no conversation program that converts a stand alone VFP
application to a web application. You do have to rewrite your vfp forms into
html forms, and then connect the vfp data to the forms.

To do this you have quite a few options to connect vfp to a web server to
have vfp's dbf read directly to the web here are a few connection pieces.

http://www.eps-software.com/voodoo/
www.x-works.com
http://www.foxweb.com/

Code charge can also do this for you, using ODBC where you web server,
communicates with the dbf's using ODBC . But you do have to use some
scripting language, working on your web server,

ASP ,Perl,PHP or JSP

Or,... recreate your dbf's into some sql server - like Mysql or MsSql and
do a little rewrite of your vfp code to read cursors from the sql datasource
instead of your local dbf. and like magic, your vfp application can be on
remote desktops, reading and writing data, to the sql server, like it was
all local files. use the VFP gui and everything. No HTML needed.

Hope this helps.

I must agree with these 2 answers and I add the web site www.prolib.de (they
using Active FoxPro Pages=AFP such as ASP).

I've developed FoxPro Apps 10 years and I started with CC 5 moths ago and I
rewrite my FoxPro apps to ASP code
with CC. It is very easy for me, becuase CC is same framework (philosophy)
as Visual ProMatrix (forms with events, ...)
I 've developed ASP apps, but I using my experiences with VFP DLLs.
My team will prepare special ORDER internet app for OIL compmany with ASP
2.0/3.0 and VFP DLL.

Regards

jaro
