I am trying to implement a Auto Delete Record feature.
Basically, this event will auto delete all records of a certain date range.

I am on a shared hosted server, PHP & MySQL.
Should I use server's CRON JOBS or can it be done in CC.
Can Events in CC be done if no one interact on any forms.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advanced.

Are you deleting to spiffy up your views? Or are you deleting to conserve
database space?

This is definately possible in cc... depending on which way you implement
it. I have a page that has an open event that does some simple stuff like
that. I put it on a logon page, and tied it to a specific user logon. It
takes a second or two extra when I logon to complete.. but it's done.

Back to the deletes... I don't delete anything from may databases-- at some
point maybe I will archive it off.. But for the maintime, I toggle a flag in
a field called deleted.. it makes it easy to undelete if necessary.
Just set your views to select deleted=0.

Just my 2c

Don,

1. I could imagine tying a PROCESS form to a login. That's a good idea too.
But I am looking for is a stand alone process that can happen without any
login.

2. Your DELETE Y/N field is also a good idea.

Thank you.
