Unfortunatelly, due to parallel work on CodeCharge 2.0 and CodeCharge
Studio, we are experiencing minor delays with both.
Version 2.0 is basically ready, however we are still missing non-templated
PHP and Perl code generation.
At this time, we'd like to announce CodeCharge Beta 2.0 Release 5, available
for download at:
http://www.codecharge.com/download/files/CodeCharge20BetaR5_Upg.exe
Although we believe it is stable, please approach all Beta installations
with caution and backup your projects.
This new version includes:
- Code Generation of ASP, ColdFusion, PHP&WML and ASP.NET/C# support. (In
addition to previously released ASP&T, PHP&T, Perl&T)
- UI: Additional Styles and style bug fixes for better Netscape
compatibility.
- UI: New Translation files (Nederlands.xml, Vlaams.xml, Waals.xml)
- UI: Fixed table refreshing issues
- UI: Fixed incorrect reading of some field types
- UI: Removed the confusing "Count SQL" option in Form Properties
- UI: Fixed issues with custom SQL sometimes not returning correct field
names
- UI: Fixed database refresh issues (error message: Database Connection
Broken)
- UI/Code: Added "Common" option in Modules section to allow generating
customized Common.asp, Common.php files, etc.
- UI: Added "Obtain Generated Code" feature to the above Common option
- Code: Fixed issue with Form Parameters not always being transferred

What are the pre-requisites to install Release 5?
If I were to uninstall all the CodeCharge program within my system, what
must I install first before installing the Release 5?

Beta Release 5 should automatically upgrade any previous version of
CodeCharge.
The only prerequsite is that you have any version of CodeCharge already
installed.

I'm getting tempted to try the beta ... but alas my project is 'live'
now for 1 month and I'm nervious I'll break something ....
I can try it out on my dev box ... but if there are known issues I should be
patient
(Hate being patient !)
Any using this in production ?
I'm using Perl + Templates on BSDI (unix) + Apache
(developing on Solaris + Apache )
