Hi Everyone,

When I purchase CodeCharge I was told that in the near future (this year)
there will be a version that will allow me to edit the pages with
Dreamweaver/Ultradev pre-production. Any idea on when this will happen?

Hi Jan,

Should be the current version 2.0 which is Beta Release 5.0 now.

Thanks.

I'm using 2.0 but do not see that option (maybe I'm thinking something that
is not. Something similar to the Clarion Formater but still be able to use
the generator).

What do you mean soon, in 2.0 or a different version?

There should be, although we're running into various issues.
MS FrontPage plug-in will be probably released first. At the same time we're
working on DreamWeaver integration as well.

i hope you seriously consider giving dreamweaver priority over frontpage.
professional developers are MUCH more likely to be using dreamweaver!

Professionals will be writing their own code.
It's people like us that are not professionals that are using FrontPage &
Codecharge.
I guess FrontPage has better support for vendors to integrate their add-ins
like CC.
This is probally why FrontPage is out 1st then Dreamweaver.

Interesting comment ! I personally belive (being a 'professional' in
every way i can think of ...) that 'professionals' get TIRED of writing
their
own code ! Especially when something as good as CodeCharge comes along!
Consider 'professionals' often get paid by the job, not the hour ...
(be it them personally, or their employeer) and *avoiding* writing
(unnecessary)
code is a very desirable goal ...
Sometimes we dont get paid at all ... :)

I agree! You guys that think that "professionals" only use certain tools or,
worse, prefer hand coding, need to wake up. I own a very successful Internet
development business and guess what? We use Frontpage 2000 almost
exclusively (plus CodeCharge and a few other great tools). We design some
pretty complex systems and don't write a single line of code 99% of the
time. Folks that have elitist attitudes about which tools to use and what
the attributes of a "professional" are tend to be quite UNprofessional in my
experience because they put their egos above the needs of their clients and
operational efficiency.
