er, I mean fancy colors.

Has anyone attempted or accomplished displaying different colored fonts in
the same CC Grid?

It can be done. What do you want to do specifically?

http://www.bourbon.org/harrell/index.cfm is adapted from the example from
the CF Skillbuilding CD

http://www.bourbon.org/ccharrell/bgamesgrid.cfm is the CC version

This has been bugging me since I downloaded the trial version some time
ago.,

You may do this in a way similar to the Task Management example included
with CodeCharge, which displays small images instead of text.
For example in the Task Management -> Default Page -> Tasks form ->
Properties -> Events -> Before Show, there is the code:
<CFSET fldpriority_id="<img border=0 src=images/prior" & fldpriority_id
& ".gif>">

You may replace it with:
<CFSET fldpriority_id="<font color=""blue""><b>" & fldpriority_id &
"</b></font>">
and the Priority should be shown in blue color.
