 PHP Variables Passed to Follow-On

Using V1.1 and PHP4/templates, I don't seem to get understandable results
when I set form-A with one or more input variables and try to see their
values in form-B when the second script is executed.

Looking at the PHP template code generated, there appears to be some basic
concept on how the values are passed, but the concept seems to change when
you change the form "type" (e.g. Grid, Record, etc.). It also looks like
there is a standard naming convention that is generated for SQL and forms
variables.

Does there exist any docs on what SHOULD be found under the various forms
types?

Or perhaps there is a trick somebody knows where I could embed an event or
something that would display the values being passed to be sure the starting
form is passing what is expected.

TIA for any thoughts/tips/comments, etc.
