Hi,

I've got a problem. I'd installed CC on a W2K SP2, then install Mysql obdc
driver. When i want to connect to the database, there is some problem and i
can connect. I have to fill some field but i don't know what to put in. Here
is the list of fields :
Windows DSN name :
MySQL host (name or IP)
MySQL database name
User
Password
Port (if not 3306)
SQL Command on connect

The database works great (other program are in develop on it) but it's the
first time i connect to the database true Windows. For information, the
serveur is on local network using IP 192.168.1.1 and run under linx (the
distrib is e-smith v4.1.2). Thanks to everybody who can help me.
For more information, you can write me tothe-schmurz@ifrance.com

Windows DSN name :
MySQL host (name or IP)
MySQL database name
User
Password
Port (if not 3306)
SQL Command on connect

Windows DSN Name: Can be anything you want. It's just a descrition.

MySQL Host: 192.168.1.1 (according to your post)

MySQL database name: This is the name of the database that you want to
connect to.

User: Username of a MySQL user that has pemissions to access the
database named in the last step.

Password: That users password for the database.

Port: Leave this blank unless you are running a custom install of MySQL.

SQL Command on Connect: Leave this blank.

C-Ya,
Kenny

When you create a user in MySQL, you can define define where that user
can connect from. If you are going to always connect rom the same
machine/IP address/DNS name, then grant rights to that user for that
system. If, however, you will be connecting from various locations,
grant connection priviledges to that user for "any".

FYI,
Kenny
