Trying to weigh the pros and cons here - can anyone lend some personal
insight/experience?

Hi Clsyde,
I've been using both simultaneously for about six months with great success.
I use CC to quickly create the PHP code (PHP and MySQL) and UD to clean up
the formatting. CC creates the basic site so much quicker than UD and when
you get used to the terminology and understand the "Before Inserts", etc.
you will be creating killer sites in no time.

I have been using codecharge for about a year. Before that, I was looking
for a product for about a year, but didn't find anything that was anywhere
close to what CodeCharge is. The product just keeps getting better. The
learning curve on the event management is somewhat of a bear at first, but
it can be mastered. So far I have been able to do just about anything I have
attempted. My latest creation http://www.cool-offers.com is 56,000+ lines of
php/html/javascript code(less than 5% handcoded). This site was developed
and content loaded in less than one month (the acquiring and loading of the
content took the most time). I started out just wanting to offer credit
card, loan, and debt consolidation links. When I saw how easy it would be, I
expanded it to a full blown shopping portal. The administration of the site
is a snap. Adding content is a breeze. I highly recommend codecharge and I
also agree with Frank using it in combination with a tool like Ultradev is
probably the best way to go if you are looking for great creativity. For
pure functionality, you can go without the templates (which is what I did).
The user community is also a great asset. When you have a problem, look
first on the gotocode.com site. If it's not there post it here and you will
probably get a solution. Two Thumbs UP for CodeCharge from me.
