Hello
at the moment, my site is with a host who allows me to change the user table
to allow:
grant [whatever] on my_db to loginname@% etc
- which is how I connect from Codecharge.
However, the connections are really slow sometimes so I'm looking around for
another ISP. But they almost all seem to allow only @localhost connections.
Can anyone recommend an ISP that allows non-localhost connection, or is
there a better way to approach this?
Thnaks for any advice.

http://www.cqhost.com will allow an external ODBC connection.
I have used the service for 3 months with CodeCharge and have since
switched. They are OK and reasonably priced.
