cannot use a database

I'm using Codecharge trial version with Windows XP

When I try to build a new site, using a Database it gives the following
error:

LOGIN FAILED. CANOT RETRIEVE CATALOG INFORMATION.

Can anyone help me on this one? It appears using JET or ODBC, but test
connection say its OK.
