Hi all,
I'm working on the following example:
http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=146&
I'd like to perform this functionality behind an icon like the PopUpCal
example:
http://www.gotocode.com/UserImages/zkeh1/popupcal.ZIP
zkeh,
If your out there, could I bother you to write the script for this?
Thanks everyone,
Barry G. Sumpter

Hi Barry,
Well it took a couple of hours to figure out what to do and then do it...but
I have now added the javascript function to open a
new window so that it works like the popup calendar.
I added the javascript function to open a new window to the
timestamp_picker_US.js file.
The wrote a new code charge global function that works much like the pop
calendar function.
You can see the resulting working application at ....along with a option to
download the zip file with all the files... http://www.kenhardwick.com/cc_05/Default.asp
HOWEVER, in testing out Alexey's "Populating record listbox from a
subwindow" article at http://www.gotocode.com/art.asp?art_id=146&, I HAVE NOT got it to work
properly for me using ASP.
It opens a new window, adds new record but does not close automatically and
DOES not automatically refresh the
the list box in the original list box.
This would be a great feature...especially with this new option..but does
not work as expected...
If you find out how to get this "Populating record listbox from a subwindow"
set of scripts to work properly with ASP , please
let me know. You may want to post a message on it specifically to find if
any has it working as expected.
Best of luck with your project...

Yeah, it had some restricted data and a privately owned design.
I'll have a go and let you know if I can get it to work on my machine.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the huge effort.
Yeah, I'm getting the same problems you wrote about.
On my machine I was getting two java errors on mouseover on the two
subwindow gifs.
As I recall I had to copy something to the Images directory to get it to
stop the errors.
But I still can't get the subwindow gifs to show. Although there are 2
empty boxes.
Also the calendar seems to be loading really slowly since the subwindow
update to the
timestamp_picker_US.js
Sould I return to the original picker?
Also I'm deducing the US is for United States date formatting.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to get the returned date into
dd/mm/yyyy format.
Additionally being able to select regional format.
Additionally being able to select from a drip down list box the format
and have the calendar
remember the selection.
I've had another go at the page and sort retention.
At the moment the page and sort parameters are doubling up and I'm
getting errors.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
I havn't a clue as to how you got the PopUpCal icons to show.
My original project wouldn't show even the blank boxes comming from the
grid.
But if I browsed directly to the records page the icons would show and
work properly.
Big F'n mistery that one.
Anyway, If anyone else could help sort these problems out we could all
benefit from them
Thanks,
Barry G. Sumpter
