Seems a fair amount of people in this forum, myself included, who use
codecharge are not 100% programmers but people with skills that range
through design and coding. After all if we were all 100% programmers we
wouldn't really need code charge to start with. Note I said wouldn't really,
plenty of programmers use codecharge to generate the site skeleton for them.

Before I started using code charge I did several PHP tutorials on
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/ so I knew how to access databases,
display and parse infromation without need for the codecharge generating it
for me, doing these simple tutorials only took a few hours and goes a long
way to understanding whats behind the scenes on your codecharge generated
site.

I've always got good results out of codecharge very easily, however as I've
advanced I've found myself adding more and more to events routines for the
extra functionality I want.

Two books I would highly recommend are "PHP for the world wide web by Larry
Ullman" and "Javascript for the world wide web by tom negrino and dori
smith", both are from the visual quick start guide series published by
peachpit press and they don't even cost $20 each, well worth the money even
for quick reference material.

Read these, use the information with tutorials from code charge and you'll
find you can accomplish a great deal in very little time.

One issue that does need to be addressed, even in the online tutorials is it
isn't always mentioned what language the tutorials are aimed towards, eg,
php, cfm, asp etc this does cause new users some serious headaches! Once you
know the syntax from different languages then it's easy to spot, when you
don't then you may find new users inserting ASP code in PHP projects then
getting frustrated.

Just my two cents worth!
