Hello Everyone,
I have just been asked to build a site.
The site that the individual wants, is a
"" Homepage Builder""
They would like to allow users onto they servers, and give them web space.
They want a script, that will allow them to just simply typing in words, and
links
and so forth, and the script takes care of all the other stuff, like the
html
or asp, or php coding, or what have you.

And I was told that this program will do it, and since I bought this joker
a few months ago,
minus well make some use of it, instead of collecting dust.

To sum it up, If anyone is familiar with " Geocities (or) Angelfire " How
they
allow for the users to come on to there sites and just simply type in a few
lines, and
have a full blown page. That is what I am needed to design.
I not a little " asp, & php " as you can tell by the 2 links below.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You
Wayne

Forgot to mention,
I have never used this thing, I just bought it in hopes of using, it
So if there are some good tutorials out there on how it works, that
would be great as well.

Thank you
Wayne

At Geocities, they use an ActiveX/Java applet to construct web pages based
on templates.

You must do another aproach.
In your database you will create a few templates of contents, as
tabels/fields, that your user will have to choose. After they choose a
template you will present a record form with that specific table (template)
fields, that users must fill. That will be a page. If they want a second
page they will open another record form of the same table (template) and so
on. To alow WYSIWIG HTML editing you must use an HTML online editor, there
are some very low in price (and even free - go to Google) online editors
that do a very good job, and they are entirely client-side editor, such as
those at www.yusasp.com . The contents of the page within the online editor
will be stored in a Memo field of the choosen template.

Another aproach is to skip the database and use only the online editor to
create a page on the server based on some templates.

The logic of creating sub-directories for every user must be an separate
task, maybe in the same time with the creating the account.

This is just an ideea !

Your project is a bit of CMS, so you may want to document yourself from this
point of view !

Regards,

Doru Apostolescu.

Thank you "Doru"
The information that you have provided unfortunately does not really help.
But will give me something to atleast look into "Trying" to find out about.

So thank you for your information
