Starting with jsut portal.ccs, portal.mdb and Image folder

EVERYTIME I generate the Portal app (modified) I get an error message:

d:\inetpub\wwwroot\TemplateOjb.asp

has been modified outside codecharge - overwrite ?

This also happens with ALL other ASP, INC, CSS and HTML file - why ???

(having Generated and selected OVERWRITE - if I press Generate again without
any modification, the same error appears)

Me too, I've been suffering this since moving to WIN2K.
My locale settings use a dd/mm/yy date and somehow I think this is the
problem.

If you get a solution, please let me know.

Hi,

Here's what we find:

If the Lock Edited Files checkbox is OFF, the date in the .cii is mm/dd/yyyy
but if the Lock Edited Files checkbox in ON, the date in the cci is
dd/mm/yyyy.

Your problem is caused the date format in the .cii. Betcha you've got Lock
Edited files unchecked. Switch it back on and all will be well.

And even more.....at least we have a fix but at a price.

From CC support...
~~~~~~~~~~
"Regional settings must be such that date would appear in format like
"28.05.01 15:23:02"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The time setting in Regional Settings (Regional Options in W2K) MUST be set
to HH:mm:ss without any AM or PM symbol,
You can safely use the "/" symbol in the date, does not need to be the "."
as CC
indicates.
Then with the dd/mm/yy and the HH:mm:ss setting, we get no unwanted dialogs
on regeneration.

That we must change our time settings over our machines to suit just ONE
piece of software is a beyond polite comment.
What happens when some other vendor/programmer imposes other time settings
for their program to perform???
Don't know if this 'configuration requirement' is mentioned in any formal
documentation anywhere - but I'll take a punt it's 'hidden knowledge'.?

More accurately, it's a bug.

Well, we did have too until a new anti-virus update was applied - and now
the unwelcome dialog is back.
Changed no Regional Settings - so there is more to this than the date/time
settings that CC support suggests.
Our AV does not allow script blocking or other bypasses so we're stuck with
the dialog, unless of course we change the regional date format to mm/dd/yy,
when the product does not throw up the dialog. That's not a viable solution
for dd/mm/yy regions.
