Hi,

I have two forms that I've created with CCS.
One form has a table called tblParcels. The user queries this table to find
a unique record. Then five fields from the tblParcels are then inserted
into a new table called tblGeneral.
I'm certainly not looking for someone to write this for me. I inherited CCS
and this project from someone who, much like Elvis, has left the building.
I looked through the sample projects. It looked like the closest project
was the multi step registration, but that only deals with one table. I'm
moving a value from one table to another.
Any clues or samples would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

kevind

assuming you are listing records from tblParcels in a grid with a link to open another page containing a record form AND that tblGeneral table has the same field names as the tblParcels table then, you can just pass them as parameters with the same name as the fields in tblGeneral.

When the form opens with a record form that is connected to tblGeneral the values in the URL being passed will fill in the fields.

let me know if that helps

Kevin
