I have a table with 2 datetime fields. Although the DBFormat is set correctly these fields appear always empty (in the grid and also in the record view as well).
If I change the datatype of the component to text than there is some data shown but not if is is set to date. What can I do?

Please help.

btw. I use MS SQL - Server

What is specified in the "Data Type" and "Format" properties of these fields?

Hello,
to display date value in PHP you should fill Database Date Format property in database Connection dialog/Server tab with format that exactly matches the one returned from the database. To find this format set field data type to Text and run the page. Check the displayed date format. E.g. I got:
2002-09-24 10:00:00.000
So Database Date Format should be:
yyyy-mm-dd HH:nn:ss.S
(Note that it is sample format only, you may get another format)
After setting format in Connection dialog you can select Date data type and handle field as Date. I’d like to notice that my suggestion concerns for both Grid and Record forms.

Dear All;

there is datetime field "entered_At" and there are some values like 2005-08-23 11:49:00 in that field.

Listing this field in a grid give the same format.
Could some one show how to truncate the last two digits in date time field.
(Ex: It should shows like 2005-08-23 11:49)

Date Display Format in Project setting yyyy/mm/dd
Grid field property is
Date Type is Text
Format is "yyyy-mm-dd HH:nn"

thanks

Sorry.

For some reason, I didn't get correct result last time.

What I did was ,

Changed the field property to

Date Type to Date
Format is to yyyy/mm/dd h:nn
DBFormat to
yyyy-mm-dd HH:nn:ss

Now is works anyway.
