I am trying to connect from an ASP page to an Access database that resides on the D drive on a distant server outside the web servers network. What would be the syntax of the connection string. Here is the one I used on my local PC with a copy of the database on my local PC.
Provider=MICROSOFT.JET.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\inetpub\wwwroot\\MyDB.mdb

If the physical path of the database is not on the Web Server or mapped to another drive from the Web Server to the DB Server then, this is not possible using Access.
You need to use MS SQL.
That's my experience.
