I have created several databases using frontpage that connect to an Oracle database hosted on a server. I had to have the administrator create the DSN but once that was done they worked. Now I am trying to create the same database that is currently working in CodeCharge. I put my information in to connect to the database and it does. The test is successfull I am able to see the tables and select the rows I want. However when I publish the pages to the server I get the ugly "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name" error. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong? One last note I did re-do the database using strictly frontpage and it worked.

When published, your application is running against the database (a) from
the server instead of your workstation and (b) using the webserver account
on the host. If you have a local database for development, then the server
is also hitting a different database. The TNSNAMEs fie has to be updated to
point to the database that the published code uses and you also need to
establish the userid and password info.
By "re-do" the database I assume that the above is not at issue here, but
review it to be sure.
It might be that you published with the "Same as Server" option on the
database connection, so it's trying to hit the DB on your development
system.
