My app works well on my main webserver, however, when I transfer to another webserver I start getting errors.

When adding or changing entries I get 'operation must use an updateable query'.

Everything is the same between the web servers - access 2000 database, asp pages, odbc settings, iis version etc. I'm running the Win XP Pro IIS (v5.1) with SP1.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Steve.

Thinking aloud - do I need to publish my app to my new webserver rather than just copying the asp files and db etc (also configuring odbc etc).

Thanks, Steve.

we have nver done that so dont worry!

if you copy the same database, same asp, same FOlders Structure. and still dosnet work, the problem is on the setup of the new server!

and maybe the problem is on the security setting!
