I'm trying to make my first internet connection to a CodeCharge project I've created. I have a domain name with an IP address. But I can't even get the page, "Under Construction" when I enter www.mydomain.com in my browser's URL. Instead, I get the page that states, "You are not authorized to view this page. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credential you supplied".

Can someone help? I've tried making changes in my Internet Explorer security settings but nothing has worked for me. Is the problem in my CodeCharge project settings, IIS properties or Internet Explorer settings. There are so many security setting variables to choose from that I don't know where to start to solve my problem.

Thanks - Ron

Sounds like you are not browsing to the correct web root directory. Make sure your web root is where you are navigating to.
Example:

A web directory root of "c\apps\web" where "web" is your root specified in IIS would be navigated to with http://www.site.com/default.php .

What scripting language are you using? What is the name off the page you
generated?

IIS will display that error if the "virtual directory" is not configured as
an "application". This is reflected in the IIS control panel by the
directory appearing as a regular "yellow" folder. The problem crops up when
there is a file folder created physically under the www root folder - IIs
sees it, but only as a file folder, not a website directory - confusing, I
know.

There is also the issue with permissions on the folder - has to be at least
readable by IIS server account. Making it an application directory (which
shows the "globe" icon resolves this problem as well.

I had the same problem after uploading a new project that required users to login.
By mistake in my Project settings under Security tab I had Convert Login page URL to: Absolute instead of None.
I set it to None and everyting worked.
