From what I understand, I can use the web.config file to store application level variables - For example, path to import files.

so, I added this line to the web.config. appsetting section:
<add key="importpath" value="c:\wherever\input"/>

Now in my custom code, when i try to call that path, it gives me an error:
localfile = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["importpath"].ToString() +".htm";

Can somebody correct me, please? Help provided me a few e.g. on PHP (tpl variables) - but none related ...thanks

-Sam
