Can anyone guide me through the steps of creating a master detail page ?

I have tried to create one using the steps given in sample, but could not succesfully create it.

What i wan is like this:

I have a 'Customer' table where the fields are of name, address and tel nos. I hav another table 'Contacts' where the fields are CustID from the customer table and name, dept, salutation, phone nos, mobile nos, etc.

I want to search the contact info, where in i need the detail page to list me the Customer info once and below that all the contacts from that Customer.

Thanks in advance.

Seems simple to me.

Have the search form redirect to a detailed page with CustID. On the details page create two GRIDs. The first one lists the Customer Info (of course just one ROW to show always) and the second one with the multiple rows of contacts. You can play with the TEMPLATE to give the look-and-feel as if it is all just ONE grid.

Hope that helps!
