I am working through the Tutorial on the Trial version. I have a remote server, with folders public_html/CodeChargerSite/TaskManager. I have matched the URL and path to this remote server. I uploaded, using FTP with password.
I get the following errpr message:
Unable to establish connection to database.
Error information:
Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80004005)
'C:\Program Files\CodeChargeStudio\Projects\TaskManager\Intranet.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
Other possible cause of this problem:
The database cannot be opened, most likely due to incorrect connection settings or insufficient security set on your database folder or file.
For more details please refer to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q306518
I don't understand why it wants to look on my local C: drive instead of the remote.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

Hi,
As the error shows the database path is invalid. Please go to your Connections and specify a valid Server connection.

OK. I went to the links you sent, and it doesn't help. It says I need to use an external server connection. What do I put in the server connection window? The tutorial tells me what to do, but not how to do it. I need examples of specific texts to put in specific boxes. I am sorry to be obtuse, but I haven't been able to make it work.
As I said, the project is uploaded to my server into the public_html/CodeChargerStudio/TaskManager folder. Can I use a relative address, or do I use an absolute address(less desireable)?
Many thanks for your patience.

Yes, our documentation and tutorials are mostly focused on how to do something in CCS, but we do not cover more general topics like the connection strings themselves. There are dozens of different databases, hundreds of drivers, and too many ways to work with them. You can find many samples of database connection strings on the Internet, especially at http://www.able-consulting.com/ADO_Conn.htm
Since you are using MS Access then I recommend that you click the "Build" button in CCS -> Connection -> Server, then select any database, but later change the database path within the string that is created.
I don't know if Microsoft driver supports relative addresses, but I suspect that only absolute addresses are supported. This is something that we have no control of.
