I would like to link the reference to the db column, which is the file name, for example: mydocument.doc

however, the documents not in the same folder of the asp page.
the asp webpage is in the www.myprojec.com but the documents in the www.myprojec.com/data

how do i add the "data" to the link before the filenema to be added?

Assuming you are using CCS to build the "link", you can create a BEFORE SHOW event and do what ever you need to do for manipulating the URL.
