Hi,

I wanted to know if it possible to fix the font size? What i want to do is to prevent the user to change the size of the text with the browser (in I.E. -- View -- text size -- Largest ,smallest....)

well, i test it with this page and the text are fixed....so it's possible! ;-)

Now, how? :-)

Thanks!
Geny

I guess this is done with CSS. I even remember some users complaining that they couldn't change the font size even within the HTML (using the <font size=xyz> tag) and this was because CSS was already used.
You can view the HTML source of this page here and find the CSS file at http://forums.codecharge.com/CC-site-style.css
You can see there that the font size is set at fixed number of pixels.

A user using a more feature rich browser like Opera can still increase the font size (and image size which IE can never do) even if font size is set to a fixed number of pixels.

Open this same page in the Opera browser and see for yourself. One way to do it is just hit the '+' key. Each time it is pressed the whole page, fonts and images, increase by a small percentage up to a total of 1000%.

I use htis feature all the time. I normally keep settings to display small to reduce need for scrolling but if a given page or site is hard to read I quickly pump it up in size. Also, great for images when you want to see the details. One of the many joys of Opera.
