Newbie Question: How to show total Projects and Tasks per Employee

I am working through the Task Manager example in the tutorial, and decided to try a "simple" extra page to test my understanding. I am trying use a grid to show the total number of Projects assigned to each employee, and the total number of tasks each has across projects. The columns to show are therefore Employee Name, Total Projects and Total Tasks.

My first question is how to design the SQL query efficiently:
I know in MS Access how to setup a query showing record counts, but how do I use the CCS visual SQL editor to do this? Can I and should I be referencing an Access Query in CCS? Should I be using more than one query?

My second question, of course, is how to use the results to populate the grid I setup.

Is there an example somewhere I can see something like this done, so I can study it and learn? Or is this something and ol'CCS hand needs to clue me on?

Thanks!

Ben,
You can use your MS Access Query directly in CCS, just like it was a table. The Grid Builder will automatically create all 3 columns if you select them.
The VQB (Visual Query Builder) in CCS doesn't allow for utilizing SQL functions like Counts or Sums, but instead you can switch to the SQL mode and type your query by hand or copy the SQL from MS Access. However, if you simply design a Query in Access there is nothing to do, just use it.

The Grid Builder creates the grids automatically therefore I'm not sure if I understand your second question but if you want to assign specific database field/result to any control (Label, TextBox) you can specify them in the "Control Source" property.
