Hi,

I need to disable a listbox in a record, depending on the group of the logged user.

I managed to to this properly (server side), using DonB method (many thanks to him) : stuffing "disabled" in the HTML using a label control.

Well, my listbox are now disabled in the record.
I modify value in other controls (not disabled).
I hit the "confirm" button... And I get a DB error telling me that I sent NULL values to the field corresponding to my disabled listbox.

How come a NULL value in sent when I update, despite the listbox displays the correct values ?

Has anybody encounter that problem ?

According to HTML reference at http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/forms/_INPUT_DISABLED.html
Quote :
... a disabled field is not even sent if the form is submitted...
