As much as I try to avoid MS Frontpage, it has a very expedient system for creating a menu and navigation system which updates when files get changed around - a feature which is not nearly so developed in Dreamweaver.

However, incorporating the Frontpage navigation with CCS has been problematic (to put it mildly). In general I have found the navigation question to be a real "bear"... It is simple when the navigation structure is one level deep but when it gets to more than two levels deep it turns into a nightmare to maintain the links pointing to the correct pages. I have tried DHTML and other navigation systems and run into endless problems with browser and OS system compatibility etc. - problems such as menus looking great in Windows but all messed up on a Mac...

In the end I have fallen back to straight html tables with links and include files based on what level deep I am in the navigation structure - this is tedious to build and update but is compatible with all browsers and OS's.

It would be wonderful if CCS could incorporate some kind of navigation or menu wizard - if it has put so much energy into the directory and path components it could expand on these and make a similar, database driven, menu component.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!
I eagerly await whatever goodies coming up in the next version.

Thanks Philip.
I've seen related Menu functionality requests submitted to us before, therefore we will be looking into implementing such functionality.

Ease of navigation in your application makes visitor happy, I would hope YES software keep an eye out of the wishes list in this forum to make future releases even better.

Ditto on menus. As a user just learning CodeChargeStudio, I thought it was just my inexperience and unfamiliarity with the product. I would be very open to input from the experts on what is the 'preferred' and best practice to navigate a CCS application. :-X

Thanks,

Hi Jan,
This is on our todo list, however, I don't know when it may be implemented.
